Who you are
- Strong hands-on technical background with experience in:
- Ruby on Rails
- Modern JavaScript development
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- SQL databases at scale
- Familiarity with cutting-edge technologies, big data, or artificial intelligence tools
- Extensive experience working with scaling engineering practices (code review, testing, CI/CD)
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in fast-paced environments
- Deep understanding of system design principles and performance optimization
- Extensive experience with production troubleshooting, monitoring systems, and managing production infrastructure
- Strong bias towards action, outcome, and significant impact
- Substantial experience in a similar capacity as either a Staff/Principal Engineer, with demonstrated leadership and influence
Desirable
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science
- Experience with Linux, command line and scripting

- Ownership and DevEx Enhancement: Take full ownership of DevEx within a small, agile team, driving initiatives to improve development speed and efficiency. Your improvements will have a lasting positive effect on the team's output
- Lead Core Product Development: Be a pivotal leader in the development of new Use Case Solutions within Judge.me's core product, driving innovation and technical excellence
- Strategic Insight and Mentorship: Accelerate feature delivery and mentor junior team members, fostering growth and knowledge sharing
- AI and Automation Leadership: Drive the adoption of AI and automation to enhance operational efficiency and encourage continuous innovation across the team
- Champion Engineering Excellence: Lead the charge in promoting code review culture and engineering best practices, with a strong emphasis on innovation and optimization
- Maintain a High Delivery Pace: Be hands-on and demonstrate rapid delivery of features and improvements, balancing quality with speed to meet business objectives and customer demands
- Cross-functional Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with Product and Design to strategically plan and rapidly ship high-impact features that align with business goals and customer needs
