Role
Who you are
- Has over 3 years’ experience working as a SEO marketer and can demonstrate a track record of generating growth in organic rankings and acquisition (across all areas of organic optimisation including on-site, off-site and technical optimisation)
- Experienced in driving tangible SEO growth on a global scale and in multiple languages and markets
- Excellent knowledge of current SEO best practices (on-site, tech and off-site) and a thirst to expand upon this
- Experienced in working with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog & other SEO tools
- A passion for A/B testing to consistently optimise to the best result
- A strong analytical thought process and ability to interpret findings into actionable insights
- Experienced at working in collaboration with marketing, product and engineering teams in order to solve SEO and user related problem spaces
- Experienced at working in a fast paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
What the job involves
- Support the creation and execution of the SEO strategy in driving efficiencies and growing YoY organic search traffic globally
- We are looking for an experienced SEO manager who can work with our Lead SEO in developing and implementing our SEO strategy - covering all areas of SEO including technical, on-site and off-site. As we are now looking to further expand our activities into Europe, America and Australia; we are seeking someone who has previous experience in working within a global remit, ideally within the travel sector
- Monitoring and reporting on SEO performance, and proactively determining the impact of any algorithm updates
- You will be working closely with our paid search experts, marketing specialists, data scientist, product owners and our team of content freelancers - therefore excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential
- Producing technical audits and recommendations to ensure engines are able to effectively crawl and index our content
- This role is an amazing opportunity for someone who is looking to help drive strategic SEO direction and who has a test and learn mentality, to help drive rapid growth through experimentation across all aspects of SEO
- Building and executing against an experiment backlog, allowing us to rapidly identify high-potential ideas via a ‘test and learn’ approach
- Perform keyword research, and content analysis across our global sites to help identify areas of opportunity
- Regularly audit competitors to identify SEO/content strategy opportunities
- Collaborate with our team of freelancers in the delivery of our content strategy based on SEO research, performance, trends, and insights
- Work with our digital PR agency and freelancers to ensure we are actively developing a competitive backlink profile and increasing our brand awareness online
- Collaborating with product, engineering teams and other marketing channels to identify synergies, maximise growth impact, and align strategically
- Serve as an SEO ambassador within Pitchup, to help spot and evaluate opportunities from elsewhere in the business to help maximise the SEO channel’s potential
- Keep abreast of SEO and integrated marketing trends

It can be difficult to find reliable and secure sites to browse and book campsites and holiday parks, with numerous sites offering incomplete information about the surrounding areas. Pitchup was founded to help users to find somewhere to stay, while at the same time get all the information they could want about local walking routes, pubs, nearby events and the like.
The platform offers over 5000 locations in over 60 countries and has witnessed tremendous growth since its launch in 2009; surpassing the milestone of 25 million nights booked and becoming Europe’s leading site for outdoor accommodation. The company is bootstrapped, but profitable since 2015 - testament to the popularity of the site.
Recently, more outdoor, local holidays, away from popular tourist resorts, have exploded in popularity. Pitchup has been able to take advantage of this, and is now leaning into helping people get away more sustainably, and supporting mental health by improving access to nature.
