What the job involves
- The Strategic Program Manager is responsible for delivering implementation related projects across a hospital or health system, state, region, or market
- In this role, you will oversee the work of multiple client services teams and team members
- You will not directly manage people, but instead are accountable for the on time, in scope, on budget work that the team is delivering
- This role is a senior individual contributor, overseeing a portfolio of strategic initiatives
- You hold a leadership role on projects and are responsible for coordinating with other delivery team leaders to manage the distribution of client work amongst team members
- Planning the overall program and monitoring the progress
- Managing and utilizing resources across projects
- Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the program’s “outcome” with the aid of the customers change manager
- Defining the program governance (controls)
- Managing the program’s budget
