Role
Who you are
- 4+ years experience in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple tasks, ideally within Recruiting Coordination
- Self-directed and able to balance a high sense of urgency with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service mindset
- Drive to build rapport with both candidates and internal business partner
Desirable
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience working with Lever
- Proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets
What the job involves
- Zoox is looking for a highly organized and ambitious recruiting Recruiting Coordinator to join our Talent team
- This individual will partner with recruiters and hiring teams to coordinate a high volume of candidate interviews and ensure we provide an exceptional candidate experience from beginning to end
- Partner with Zoox's team of recruiters to schedule candidate interviews (onsite, virtual, and phone) for both technical and non-technical roles
- Manage the onsite interview process to ensure we provide an exceptional candidate experience
- Work closely with recruiters to refine existing functions and develop new programs to strengthen our hiring efforts
- Coordinate candidate travel and handle associated expenses as necessary
- Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in the interview process and implement appropriate solutions
- Other responsibilities related to Talent Logistics as required on an ad-hoc basis
Our take
Zoox, a self-driving vehicle company, was founded to make personal transportation safer and more enjoyable for all. It has aimed to achieve this goal by creating a new mode of driverless transportation, thus eradicating the safety and logistical issues that come with human drivers.
It revealed its custom vehicle design in December 2020, showcasing something different from just a car without a driver. Uniquely, all four wheels are independent of one another, and the vehicles have no front or back, making them more agile than a standard car. Zoox claims that it is different from other industry players because it has created an entire driverless ecosystem, including the vehicle itself, allowing it to have more control.
The company is fast becoming a major player in an industry that is predicted to be worth $2 trillion by 2030. Electric motors are highly desirable, particularly in an urban environment, as governments look for ways to reduce emissions and improve air quality. Zoox is aiming to play a vital role in this evolution towards more sustainable urban mobility. Amazon acquired the company in 2020 and, despite a general downturn in the sector through 2022, is building a Zoox factory and budgeting $1 billion per year for future development and production.
