Senior Engineering Manager, Zoa

• Experience managing engineering teams and managers including coaching and mentoring
• A proven track record in leading complex technical projects as a Software Engineer (e.g Senior Software Engineer +)
• Proven communication skills with empathetic first approach and ability to manage stakeholders and high impact projects
• Experience in requirements engineering and data driven product design
• Experience scaling engineering teams
• Ability to understand, communicate with enabling improvements to up-skill the engineering teams
• Experience partnering with recruitment to: create hiring processes, interview and onboard new team members

Desirable

• Play a critical role in ensuring the Engineering organisation reaches high technical performance and adheres to standards around security, monitoring, alerting and Service Level Agreements
• Collaborate with Product & Technology Leadership team and other key stakeholders on regular basis
• Establish and evangelise Engineering Metrics to surface early challenges for teams
• Mentor and coach Engineering Managers, supporting them through their exciting journey
• Work closely with the other Engineering Managers and the Engineering Director to develop and implement engineering processes, establish best practices and ways of working
• Partner with Product Managers to ensure impactful results are delivered to users
• Work closely with the recruitment team to continuously improve our hiring process
• Contribute to collective engineering organisational goals e.g. reducing technical debt/defects, improving operations and security standards, driving new initiatives and upholding best practices
