Who you are
- 8+ years of experience in product marketing, consulting, or a similar strategic role; experience in the insurance, SaaS, or fintech industry preferred. B2B experience preferred
- Proven experience working with enterprise partners, driving adoption, and influencing external stakeholders
- Strong storytelling, writing, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, compelling messages
- Experience leading product launches, building GTM strategies, and scaling marketing programs
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to identify growth opportunities and analyze business/market trends
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with multiple departments
- Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Entrepreneurial spirit, bias for impact and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- SF Bay Area preferred, open to Remote US
What the job involves
- We are looking for a strategic, results-driven Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market initiatives, product positioning, and enablement strategies
- In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Product, Sales, and Partnerships—to develop narratives that resonate with enterprise customers, drive product adoption, and accelerate growth
- Product Launches: Lead cross-functional product launches, driving awareness, adoption, and measurable outcomes through strategic campaigns
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute end-to-end GTM strategies for new products, features, and partnerships, ensuring alignment across Product, Sales, Operations and Marketing teams
- Enterprise Enablement: Partner with Sales teams to build sales collateral, case studies, playbooks, and training to support enterprise customer acquisition and growth
- Market Research & Insights: Conduct competitive and market analysis to uncover customer needs, market trends, and opportunities to inform product development and marketing strategies
- Campaign Management: Drive multi-channel marketing campaigns and programs across the full funnel
- Thought Leadership: Establish the company as a leader in the insurtech space through storytelling, webinars, and enterprise-focused content
- Cross-functional Influence: Influence and align cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, Creative, and Operations to achieve unified results. Identify gaps where they exist, and refine our processes to enhance collaboration
Our take
Ethos was founded to increase the transparency of life insurance, making it accessible and affordable to all. The company want to add openness to the process; losing a loved one is hard enough before one even considers financial implications, particularly with the loss of a primary earner.
Ethos uses predictive technology to rapidly quote life insurance rates and verify an applicant’s medical information. This expedited process allows most users to secure life cover on the same day they apply, a process which normally takes a number of weeks. The company works with some of the biggest providers in the industry, including Legal & General America, AAA Life and Ameritas Life Insurance Corp.
Ethos has been one of the more heavily publicised of the recent wave of insurtech companies, with investors such as Google as well as celebrities Will Smith and Jay Z, taking its valuation to over $2 billion. However, the sector is being hit particularly hard by macroeconomic uncertainty and Ethos conducted several rounds of layoffs through 2022 and early 2023. Now focused on its core product and revenue growth, it is poised to extend its market leading position.
