Cloud Solutions Architect, Astronomer

• 7 years of experience in a data infrastructure role or equivalent role
• 5 years in a customer-facing role
• Strong Kubernetes experience (GKE/EKS/AKS or OpenShift preferred)
• Proficiency in Python/Go
• Good understanding of network complexities and architectures
• Versatile Terminal and CLI user, as this will be a hands-on role, and frequently without access to a GUI
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting distributed systems
• Experience with complex SaaS infrastructure operating at scale
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider API/tooling
• Cloud-native data architecture experience
• Strong customer-facing skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills - should be able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical folks succinctly

• As a customer-facing Cloud Solutions Architect (Infrastructure), you will join our field team to deliver world-class technical solutions to customer and prospect business problems
• In this role, you’ll engage with a diverse set of use cases where Apache Airflow plays a central role in the overall solution architecture
• Your work will directly enable customers to scale their operations and achieve their goals by adopting Astronomer’s products
• This role is a pre-sales oriented role and as such will involve up to 30% travel to support business and customer engagements
• You will support customers primarily in the East Coast time zone
• Comfort and flexibility with working and traveling within this time zone are essential to ensure effective collaboration and drive customer success
• Implement Astronomer’s software and services in the core of some of the world’s largest businesses and organizations
• Guide our largest and most complex customers in their Apache Airflow journeys
• Act as the core interface between the Customer, Sales, and Product to ensure that the broader solution around the platform is solving pain points and bringing value to customers
