Who you are
- > 8 years of software development
- > 4 years Go
- Deep knowledge of Go best practices and standards
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL or similar SQL databases
- Experienced deploying Go applications on cloud platforms
- API and SaaS backend web app development
- Data scraping, aggregation, processing, and ingestion
Desirable
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling, such as Terraform or Pulumi
- Experience with data pipelines and large-scale data aggregation
- Experience in FinTech, economics, or private equity
- An interest in GenAI (we have shipped multiple features and have many more in the pipeline)
What the job involves
- The role will be focused on backend development
- You'll focus on delivering product features, developing backend APIs, data collection and ingestion services
- Your technical knowledge will drive our backend architecture and mentor the engineering team

Gain.pro is looking to corner this market niche, with its platform that claims to provide faster and more accurate insights into private companies.
The platform offers a spread of search and source capabilities for private companies that includes comprehensive financials, automated searches and updates, and data visualisation. Whilst companies like Beauhurst are offering a similar service for high-growth UK companies, Gain.pro’s private and global market focus takes this successful model and applies it to a particularly lucrative area.
Gain.pro is seeing good results, too. It’s secured a spread of blue-chip clientele including Bain, McKinsey, and Rothschild, and Perella Weinberg, demonstrating a strong product with high growth potential - and with plenty of funding under its belt, it’s expecting to cash in on that soon.
