Who you are
- Clear communication skills
- Solid understanding of at least one of our backend languages: Go, Python, or PHP. Willingness to learn Go
- Knowledge of Kubernetes & familiarity with modern CI/CD tools
- Data Analysis & SQL (Big Plus)
- You understand the data stack or is ready to rapidly learn it
- Ability to run your own data analysis to understand the current state and estimate the impact of changes
- You’re eager to expand your skill set—whether that’s picking up a new language (Go) or embracing new technologies in CI/CD

What the job involves
- As a Fullstack Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on critical, high-impact projects that shape the foundation of our platform
- You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining essential infrastructure, ensuring seamless identity management, fraud prevention, and CI/CD migrations while enhancing developer experience across the company
- Thrives on technical challenges – You will work with modern technologies, including Golang, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating closely with product teams to enhance platform reliability and security
- Enjoys variety – From API gateway performance optimization to security tooling, your work will span multiple domains, ensuring a dynamic and engaging workload
- Values ownership and impact – As part of a small, highly skilled team, you will have direct ownership of critical systems and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in AMBOSS's technical ecosystem
- Wants to grow – If you're eager to expand your knowledge, particularly in Golang and infrastructure topics, this role provides the support and projects to deepen your expertise
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Contribute to core backend (PHP, Go) and frontend applications (JS/TS/React), such as GraphQL Gateway and Amboss’ web client
- Participate, facilitate and make architectural decisions related to the performance and security of AMBOSS
- Own and operate core system services, such as the identity account management, user tracking, GraphQL Gateway, etc
- Provide platform and drive enablement in product teams by addressing developer experience needs and supporting teams with platform knowledge and self-service

Becoming a doctor is undoubtedly challenging, but it is disheartening when the already demanding journey is further complicated by the intricate web of the medical education system. The current system often imposes restrictions on collaboration, fails to provide integrated resources, and sometimes lacks supportive examination boards.
AMBOSS was founded by doctors initially to help medical students overcome this mess but has now extended to become a knowledge platform for all types of medical professionals.
Today the company‘s products are used by more than a million healthcare professionals in over 180 countries. The strategy to extend their reach even further involves partnerships with major hospital groups like Helios.
The regularly upgraded knowledge base that the company has developed is an incredible growing asset. AMBOSS, however, will not rest on this and will continue to develop its smart learning technology to engage doctors even more deeply with their work.
