Role
Who you are
- Is pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Has hands-on exposure to AI tools, models, or workflows (coursework, personal projects, agents, LLM integrations, etc.)
- Thinks critically about AI—its value, its risks, and how to implement it responsibly
- Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Communicates clearly, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Learns quickly and enjoys navigating ambiguity
- Works collaboratively and thrives in cross-functional environments
- Experience with Python, R or any programming language
- Experience that’s nice to have includes:
- Understanding of basic database structures and fundamentals
- Familiarity with using AI tools in workflows (automations, agents, copilots, prompt engineering, etc.)
- Exposure to product management, AI evals, system design, or technical discovery work
- Have a minimum of one quarter/semester remaining in university studies after the internship concludes. Graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. Company sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates applying for certain roles

- We partner across the entire organization – from Engineering and Product to Operations, Finance, Sales, HR, and the Executive team – to understand needs, identify opportunities, and deliver AI-powered solutions that meaningfully transform the way we work
- This team supports MongoDB’s company mission by enabling internal teams to work smarter, reduce manual effort, and focus on strategic, high-impact work
- As an Internal AI Product Management Intern, you’ll help drive AI adoption across the company by mapping needs across departments, identifying the highest-value opportunities, and partnering with engineers to deliver safe and effective AI tools
- You may be involved in evaluating AI use cases, establishing standards for internal AI products, analyzing workflow challenges, and supporting strategic decision-making
- This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who enjoys thinking critically about how AI transforms work, and wants experience operating at the intersection of AI, data, product, and people

- MongoDB internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks lasting from dates in June until August. All interns are considered hybrid employees, designated the "in office" working model and are expected to be in their office location 3-5 days a week

MongoDB is an open-source, cross-platform, document-oriented database system. It stores data as JSON-like documents and is written in C++, Go, JavaScript and Python.
Essentially, the company develops tools and blueprints to help businesses and organisations modernise their legacy applications, migrating them to the MongoDB database and the MongoDB Atlas cloud database. With this initiative, MongoDB is particularly taking aim at Oracle customers with ageing applications running on the Oracle relational database system.
