Who you are
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or other relevant educational credential
- Demonstrated experience in EDS with specific experience in Siemens Capital tools for system harness design
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to wire harness, power distribution, etc
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a dynamic team environment
What the job involves
- As a member of the Vehicle Electrical Systems team, this role will take ownership of the mechanical design and integration of electrical components such as wire harnesses, power distribution, electronic control units, sensors, and user interface components, contributing to requirements and acting as DRE for many parts and assemblies
- Develop and release vehicle electrical system designs in Capital Harness Designer and associated tools
- Collect device and system information to inform harness and power distribution design
- Support selection and integration of devices for the vehicle electrical systems; source components and material
- Establish relationships with suppliers of wire harnesses and related components electrical distribution system
- Stay up to date with latest wiring/connector standards
- Support prototype wiring fabrication and vehicle testing
- Work with domain experts and supply chain team members to select and integrate electrical components
- Support wire harness integration in Catia v6 to support CAE and DFM activities
