Senior Commercial Finance Manager, Elvie

Desirable

• Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance, you will take on a broad commercially orientated role, with a focus on research & new product development, working teams from ideation to launch
• You will work closely with the CPO (Chief Product Officer) and Head of R&D, as well as the Project PMs, to develop budget & business case frameworks to enable productive yet efficient spend on new product innovation
• You’ll also work across departments (procurement, product engineering, marketing, supply chain) to ensure a full business case is developed and help to create action to operationalise these decisions (not just build spreadsheets)
• Accountable for creating innovative commercial constructs and mechanisms, ensuring business profitability and risk mitigation
• Business partner with hardware and software product teams, including R&D and new product development
• Participation in the annual planning process for the group, including budget, forecasts, and three-year plan, including the co-ordination of inputs from all departments
• Develop the rolling monthly forecasting process in line with the reporting requirements of the group
• Work with commercial finance teams to complete margin analysis and margin planning for budget and reforecast process for all retail and wholesale operations globally
• Prepare payback/ NPV/ ROI calcs with splits of CAPEX and OPEX
• Prepare insightful commentary and analysis on consolidated business performance for senior leadership team and investors
• Lead/input into contract commercial negotiations for highly complex, high value, high risk agreements
• Support teams in adhoc projects including business casing, fundraising, board reporting, and implementation of new ERP & BI tools
• Assist with wider and ongoing planning and budgeting activities as directed by the CEO & FD
