Who you are
- 1-2+ years of experience in direct sales or lead generation with a consistent track record of achieving quota

What the job involves
- Our Digital Sales team is growing, and we're looking for a Senior Sales Development Representative to join us! In this role, you'll support our enterprise sales team and help drive outbound efforts for our Dock & Yard SaaS Division
- Research Loadsmart’s target distribution facility and warehouse companies and identify the most relevant key decision-makers
- Initiate conversations with senior executives with high-volume outreach via phone, email, and social media
- Gather insight on target accounts through conversations and effective questioning
- Document information in Salesforce to form detailed and accurate account profiles
- Insightfully vet accounts against target criteria to distinguish productive vs. unproductive leads
- Set up introductory sales meetings for our Enterprise Account Executives with key decision makers at qualified accounts
- Adeptly articulate the value of Loadsmart’s digital solutions and constantly work on improving product knowledge and sales skills
- Establish a working knowledge of Loadsmart’s business, including processes, operations, the competitive landscape, and remaining up-to-date on industry news
- Participate as an active member of our collaborative sales team and contribute to our culture of sales success
- Continually upgrade the prospecting cadence and messaging by collaborating with your fellow SDR’s, account executives and leaders
Our take
Freight services involve many parties including shippers, dispatchers, drivers, and dock managers. Insurance and safety checks are required for everyone involved, a process that makes the truck shipping process more expensive, time-consuming, and less efficient than it could be.
Loadsmart provides an online portal that handles booking, insurance legislation, and health and safety regulations, all within an integrated platform. This digital integration leads to parties receiving instant and guaranteed shipping, offering full financial coverage in the event of any discrepancies.
The company has raised significant amounts of funding, most recently in a 2022 Series D Round, which saw the company achieve a valuation in excess of $1B. It has used this funding to expand its partnership network and to fuel its acquisitions strategy. In the longer term, the company's focus on organic growth will stand it in good stead as it will allow it to avoid aggressive pricing structures, which would make it difficult to achieve profitability given the razor-thin margins in the freight industry.
