Role
Who you are
- 8+ years of experience in product-related roles; at least 3 years of people management experience
- Proven experience in a product centric growth environment driving adoption across large product initiatives
- Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring teams and driving high-performance cultures
- A data-driven approach to product management, comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative insights to guide decision-making
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization and align teams around a shared vision
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where innovative thinking is encouraged
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Director of Product Management to lead our Growth vertical
- As a key leader, you’ll own the strategy and execution of growth opportunities from activation and retention to monetization
- You’ll spearhead 0-to-1 product innovation, paving the way for new growth initiatives that will shape the next chapter of our business
- In this high-impact role, you will collaborate closely with our Product, Design, and Engineering leadership teams to bring our product vision to life
- You’ll mentor and develop a team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of excellence while delivering features that will have a transformative impact on our business
- Define and own the product vision and strategy for our Growth product, setting priorities for key features and initiatives
- Lead growth initiatives that span the user journey—from acquisition and activation to retention and upselling—leveraging data to uncover high-impact opportunities
- Develop and manage a team of Product Managers, providing coaching and strategic direction to foster professional development and achieve product goals
- Drive cross-functional collaboration, working with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to ensure seamless alignment and execution
- Utilize data to inform decisions, championing both qualitative and quantitative insights to iterate quickly and deliver products that resonate with our users
- Innovate and experiment by championing 0-to-1 initiatives that explore new business opportunities and challenge the status quo
- Track and optimize performance, using KPIs to evaluate product success and make informed decisions that accelerate growth
Our take
Business management platforms exist for a wide range of industries, including retail, hospitality, and healthcare. However, despite a modern facade the beauty industry lacks specialised software and still runs on generic CRMs and basic spreadsheets. Recognising a gap in the market, GlossGenius has stepped in to provided a specialised business management platform for beauty salons, spas and studios.
With no competition in this niche, GlossGenius has swiftly captured a large market share, with triple-digit year on year revenue growth. It serves over 40,000 businesses (70% of which are women-owned) and has more than $2 billion in annual transactions on the platform.
GlossGenius has raised a large amount of capital in several funding rounds closed in quick succession. It is aiming to accelerate platform development off the back of its releasing of consumer experience, payment and automation products. It is well on the way to fulfilling its long-term aim of developing into the Toast of the beauty industry.
