Who you are
- Experience with fullstack development, preferably Python and ReactJS, but open to similar technologies; knowledge of Java, GCP, and Kafka is a plus
- 6 to 10+ years of experience building and managing reliable, usable, and performant full stack applications
- Experience using different types of datastores such as Postgres, Mongo, Redis, and Elasticsearch
- An understanding of best practices across software lifecycle, from development to deployment and testing
- Interest in collaboration through code reviews and technical discussions
What the job involves
- Squarespace's Help Experience team is looking for a FullStack Senior Software Engineer to lead technical initiatives based in our Dublin office
- You will work directly with Staff Engineers, Data Analysts, and the Customer Operations department to handle complex technical challenges, leveraging Squarespace's expanding Cloud-native footprint and cutting-edge technologies like Generative AI
- The Help Experience team's mission is to empower our customers' business growth through an integrated support platform
- This platform combines personalized self-help guidance with one-on-one support, offering the essential tools and assistance our customers need to succeed, while enhancing operational efficiency
- You will report to the Engineering Team Manager of the Help Experience team who is based in our NYC office. This is a geographically dispersed team between NYC and Dublin
- Build out and improve customer-facing support products and services end-to-end
- Collaborate with engineers, designers and product owners to create a user-focused experience
- Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, readable code, documentation, software design, RFCs)
- Encourage the technical growth of your team and teammates
- Keep our product updated with the latest technologies
