Who you are

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ years of experience in NPI, manufacturing, or project management
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, BOM management, and supply chain logistics
- Strong understanding of PLM systems and release workflows
- Strong understanding of change management principles and concepts such as CAs, ECOs, ECNs, and Issues
- Proficiency in CAD, BOM,and configuration management authoring tools (3DExperience (3DX) Enovia, Delmia, and CATIA experience is strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with ERP, WMS, and MES tools
- Strong task and item tracking, analysis, and reporting skills; scripting or Python experience is a plus
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to drive accountability
What the job involves
- We are looking for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Configuration Engineer to manage and implement design changes during prototype, pilot, and production builds
- This role requires an organized, technical, and driven individual who can perform and/or coordinate change impact analysis, effectively deliver information and knowledge, manage tasks and and resources, and support effective product development and production processes
- Manage the MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials): Ensure accuracy, completeness, and availability of all components needed for each build
- Track implementation of ECNs and design changes, ensuring all updates are reflected in the MBOM and process documentation
- Perform or coordinate change impact analysis
- Identify and resolve defects in part metadata, including revision discrepancies, missing attributes, or incomplete structures
- Collaborate with design, supply chain, and build teams to validate that build content matches design intent
- Support build readiness by confirming all required parts and consumables are represented in the MBOM
- Help drive effective change management workflows and participate in continuous improvement of PLM processes
Our take
Humanoid robots are quickly moving from sci-fi to reality, with big tech companies racing to bring them into workplaces, and soon, our homes. It's a booming market, and Figure is one of the big names in the game.
Figure builds human-like robots that are powered by advanced AI that can walk, see, and even understand natural language. Its latest model, the Figure 02, is already piloting in a BMW factory, and its in-house AI system, Helix lets these robots perform complex tasks from simple voice prompts. The company's moving fast, and it's not slowing down anytime soon.
But moving fast comes with baggage. It recently cut ties with OpenAI after claiming a major breakthrough in robot intelligence, and it's now working completely solo. Still, Figure just secured major commercial deals and may be headed for a jaw-dropping $40B valuation. It's a high-stakes field that's as exciting as it is controversial and Figure is certainly one to watch out for.
