Who you are
- Minimally 8 years of B2B Sales experience
- Minimally 2 years of Sales People Management experience (managing early-career sellers is a strong plus)
- Experience selling professional services required
- Demonstrated ability of leading, managing, and inspiring others

What the job involves
- The Director, Sales People Manager will help grow and lead a team of 5-7 Sales Account Executives to achievement against their annual revenue target, focusing on new business generation as well as existing account growth
- The leader will be afforded a high degree of accountability and ownership over a team of sellers owning a portfolio of industry leading clients
- $12-20MM in revenue under management
- Coaching and mentoring early-career sales team members under their direct management and beyond, ensuring that they reach their sales goals and develop as sales professionals, ensuring expectations for success are clearly defined
- Acting as escalation point and subject matter expert on difficult client issues, brought in as first chair in conversations with senior buyers where necessary
- Guiding and supporting team members through the development of territory strategy and strategic account and growth plans for their individual account sets. Making strategic business decisions that positively impact the practice
- Maintaining a consistent focus on pipeline management and responsibility for reporting and accurately forecasting commits
- Have a strong pulse on any vertical-specific challenges in the market, work closely with vertical leadership to develop actionable plans to proactively respond to those issues
- Keep a constantly strategic lens on attorney “supply” for client engagements, working cross-functionally to calibrate client demand with attorney supply
- Performance management of any team members under their direct managerial line
- Actively engage in any necessary recruitment efforts to build the team further
- Making effective decisions within a highly collaborative, matrixed environment

It offers a wide range of solutions to meet legal needs, from on-demand attorneys to supplement companies' legal departments, to senior paralegals to review legal forms and business contracts.
Traditionally, law firms were the dominant providers in the legal industry and their hierarchical partnership structure was a major obstacle for anyone trying to overcome that prevailing model. Axiom's founder saw an opportunity to reconfigure legal delivery and set out to construct a law company to respond to the growing misalignment between firm lawyers and equity partners as well as firms and clients. Axiom has recruited lawyers from top firms while cutting most traditional extra costs, enabling it to offer high-quality services at a much lower price than the wider legal industry.
Axiom received its first funding round in 2000, raising $5.4 million, and three subsequent funding rounds have followed. These investments fueled expansion over time and enabled the company to invest in technology, a talented workforce, and a strong senior management bench. Going forward, Axiom will keep expanding its legal professional talent offering and it will likely maintain its focus on tech, as exemplified by its acquisition of legal tech firm Plexus Engage in 2022.
