Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of technical recruiting experience, ideally within a startup or high-growth environment
- Proven experience recruiting for engineering, product, and/or data science roles
- Strong understanding of technical roles and skills (e.g. ML, DevOps, Frontend/Backend development)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple roles and candidates at once
- Exceptional communication skills with a commitment to providing an outstanding candidate experience

What the job involves
- As a Technical Recruiter at Nooks, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our engineering and product teams
- You’ll partner with hiring managers to understand the complex needs of technical roles, proactively source candidates, and provide a seamless recruitment experience
- Build and nurture a pipeline of top technical talent for future opportunities, ensuring Nooks stays ahead of the curve
- Full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, including Software Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Product roles
- Partner with engineering and product leaders to understand their hiring needs, and translate those into compelling job descriptions and recruiting strategies
- Source candidates using multiple channels including online platforms, referrals, and networking
- Manage the candidate experience end-to-end, ensuring a positive and engaging process from initial contact to onboarding
- Program Manage University Recruiting Events through research and leveraging existing teammates in order to attract top university talent
- Maintain recruiting metrics and communicate progress to the engineering team and leadership
Our take
For many businesses, the rise in hybrid and remote working has lessened team building and collaboration within their teams. Nooks was founded in 2020, initially as a virtual space for sales teams to collaborate and work in real-time, and to feel like they're working in the same room as their colleagues.
Nooks evolved from that social workflow premise and developed an AI dialer to automate manual tasks for sales teams. It also has a "Call Analytics" tool for sales teams to transcribe, analyse and improve upon their calls. Meanwhile, its virtual salesfloor still makes collaborating, team building and training easier for virtual teams.
While Nooks is up against large workflow management platforms such as Slack, its tight focus on sales teams lets it stand out. This speciality has led to several rounds of funding for Nooks, the latest of which is being channelled into expanding operations and business reach.
