Who you are

  • We're looking for a highly-motivated, entrepreneurial individual who is comfortable closing sales, operating in ambiguous situations, and collaborating with various cross-functional teams to maximize success
  • 2-4 years of selling experience (SMB and/or restaurant-tech industry is a plus, but not required)
  • Spanish Language Fluency
  • Strong track record of being a top performer and consistently exceeding goals
  • Goal-oriented, excellent organizational abilities & relationship building skills, and a passion for managing the details
  • A hustler who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced startup environment and is willing to contribute wherever necessary as plans and priorities change
  • Excellent communication skills; effectively leads pitches and presentations and is comfortable on the phone
  • Ability to problem-solve and cater pitches to address owner pain points in real time
  • A go-getter who is coachable, adaptable, internally motivated, and resilient
  • Salesforce experience is ideal, not required

What the job involves

  • As a Sales Representative focused on our Slice Register (POS) product , you will be responsible for educating pizzerias on the value of the entire Slice solution
  • The Register team serves as the face of Slice in educating pizzeria owners about the value of partnering with Slice on our full suite of products to grow their business with extra focus on our Point of Sale product, Slice Register
  • Your goals will be based on selling and implementing Slice Register to as many new shops as possible
  • The product suite you’ll be selling primarily focuses on Point of Sale which is the core hub of the shop, but also includes online ordering and potentially the ‘goods’ (Slice supplies)
  • In this role, you will oversee the entire sales and upsell process from prospect to pitch to close
  • You will primarily be on the phone completing the entire sales cycle with rare Video calls and in person selling opportunities included
  • You will report to a Senior Sales Manager and collaborate closely with our Head of Implementation
  • You will be part of a larger multinational inside sales team that shares ownership of selling all products to prospective shops across the United States

According to Slice, pizzerias that use its services can expect a 40% increase in their online order value and a 50% increase in repeat customers.

The market for online food ordering is huge, with large competitors like Grubhub, Deliveroo, and Uber Eats controlling most of the market share. To differentiate itself, Slice has honed in on the popularity of pizza, and also provides extra services to its client restaurants that can help them compete with successful chains. It also charges a flat subscription fee, in comparison to the high commission rates charged by most delivery platforms.

Slice works with over 19,000 independent pizzerias across all 50 US states. It has recently hired new members of its executive team and was featured in Crunchbase's SMB Tech 50, a testament to its growth and popularity so far. It is the US's largest pizza network, nearly triple the footprint of Domino's, and it hopes to continue this upward growth in the coming years.
