What the job involves

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will take a lead position, showcasing excellence not only in technical execution but also in guiding and mentoring the development team
Your expertise in steering best practices related to microservices architecture, serverless cloud computing and optimizing platform scalability and performance will be pivotal. Additionally, you will be responsible for the migration from AWS to GCP, ensuring the utmost reliability, scalability, and efficiency
Collaborate with solutions team(s) to analyze requirements or specifications, translates them into actionable work units for the team to conceptualize and develop high quality software using the established coding standards and development best practices for critical areas of the business
Lead large initiative while mentoring, teaching, guiding, and improving the productivity of other Software Engineers
Conduct system analysis and proof of concepts, with limited architect and/or leadership involvement, to determine best design or solution
Design and plan the integration of different system components and third-party services. Ensure that data flows smoothly between various parts of the system. Create documentation for system level integration
Ensure that the architecture supports scalability and optimal performance
Tackle complex technical problems and challenges
Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to within the BU to align on the architecture with business goals
Enforce the development of unit tests, automated tests and performance tests as needed to ensure quality, supporting general debugging and isolating areas for improvement
Capture and analyze performance test metrics and provides operational documentation
Review appropriate documentation such as implementation manuals, support manuals/playbooks, performance testing guidelines, etc. as needed to run/support the software
Perform other job duties as assigned
