Role
Who you are
- You have 2+ years of Accounting/Finance experience under your belt and are looking for your next challenge in a hyper-growth, fast-paced, industry disrupting, SaaS company
- You are excited to work with emerging technologies and modern tech stack with a collaborative team, where you will have a direct impact on the customer experience
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on US GAAP accounting
- Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite, Maxio) and strong Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Experience in collections and handling customer communications
- [Preferred] Familiarity with revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606) is a plus
- [Preferred] Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- [Preferred] CPA is a plu
What the job involves
- Generate and process customer invoices in an accurate and timely manner
- Review contracts and sales orders to ensure proper invoicing in line with company policies
- Track and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues
- Maintain up-to-date records of customer billing and payment history
- Proactively manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding invoices
- Assist with the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and reporting
- Identify opportunities for streamlining invoicing, collections, and close procedures
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting software and/or processes to enhance efficiency
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits and respond to auditor inquiries
- Assist in other ad-hoc projects as necessary
