Role
Who you are
- Technical pre/post-sales technology experience, demonstrating a track record of success
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in the Web3 space, showcasing a deep understanding of Web3 protocols, such as DeFi engagement, asset staking, DAO membership, and NFT trading
- Ability to read and comprehend code, such as Solidity, and navigate large-scale software development projects
- Hands-on experience with middleware, integration architecture patterns, web services technologies, and APIs
- Proven experience in building and delivering Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and responding to functional and technical elements of proposals independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for all audiences
Desirable
- Familiarity with federated learnings, prediction models, and decentralized compute
- Knowledge of financial instruments and trading processes
- Experience with public and permissionless blockchain technologies such as Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, etc
- Experience with technical-led business development, ensuring the seamless and successful onboarding of new users
- Expertise in DeFi trading strategies, including liquidity provision, yield farming, flash loans, or algorithmic trading on platforms like Uniswap, SushiSwap, Aave, or Compound
What the job involves
- Strategic Client Relationships: Establish robust relationships with stakeholders, driving the adoption of Upshot. Provide essential technical expertise throughout the sales and implementation phases
- Solution Design and Delivery: Lead the design of innovative solutions using Upshot products, contributing significantly to project deliveries. Ensure the successful delivery of client projects/proofs of concept (POCs)
- Product Strategy Influence: Contribute significantly to the development of Upshot's product strategy, offering valuable insights and influencing the product roadmap
- Internal Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal technical teams, providing feedback on product enhancements and ensuring client requirements are met
- Industry Expertise: Develop a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, challenges, and emerging technologies. Effectively position and promote Upshot products based on such knowledge
Our take
The NFT industry grew rapidly throughout the early '20s, and its associated cryptocurrencies led to extremely volatile pricing. Whilst many lucky investors made money from such volatility, it has overall increased the adverse risk associated with investing in NFTs, reducing the certainty of a price and thus deterring potential investors.
Allora leverages machine learning and crowdsourcing technology to aggregate and present near-real-time price feeds for NFTs, providing this information through a platform and API. The API facilitates integration within NFT marketplaces, portfolio trackers, and other DeFi protocols, helping businesses to provide their customers with accurate NFT pricing.
Whilst skepticism about the future value of NFTs will present significant challenges for Allora, the company shows great potential to combat this by attempting to introduce a more comprehensive and accurate pricing protocol for NFTs. Through this approach, the company hopes to increase visibility into NFT pricing, ultimately minimizing risk and thus boosting investment. Significant funding awarded in 2022 will go some way to achieving these goals, giving Allora the runway to R&D its pricing models, expand its team, and build new developer tools.
