- 5-7 years of UX experience with a SaaS company
- Experience working collaboratively across both a marketing team and the broader org
- Expertise in Figma and Adobe programs
- Thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies
- A deep understanding of the end to end iterative UX process, including personas, scenarios, wire-framing, and high fidelity visuals
- Basic understanding of Javascript, HTML, CSS
- A high attention to detail and enthusiasm for innovative web design
What the job involves
- We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior UX Designer to join our creative team
- In this role, you will be responsible for leading and maintaining the design of our website
- You will collaborate closely with the creative director, lead web developer, and other stakeholders to understand user needs, create wireframes, and conduct comprehensive research on competitors to ensure our website remains at the forefront of industry standards
- This candidate will also have the opportunity to work on branding and graphic design projects as needed

- Help establish a comprehensive website design, proofing, A/B testing, and QA process
- Work closely with the lead web developer, head of growth marketing, head of product marketing and the creative director to audit the site for performance and content improvements
- Work alongside the broader creative team to help usher Recharge into the next phase of the brand
- Be a close partner to the web team on improving site performance and conversion
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, communicating with stakeholders, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure tidy and organized file management in Figma
Our take
E-commerce platform Recharge has been in operation since 2014, helping brands set up and manage a subscription business, removing the operational inefficiencies that brands would face when attempting to manage this themselves. Its cloud-based subscription management platform aims to offer merchants flexibility by leading with an API focus.
Recharge’s basic premise has proven a smart one, with the e-commerce subscription market growing substantially since the company was founded. It, of course, rose particularly steeply over the pandemic, with the closure of brick-and-mortar stores, but in general still follows a market trend towards direct-to-consumer relationships, promising a growing market for Recharge going forward.
Success for the company has been clear, with its merchant roster boasting several thousand users, including Harry’s, Oatly, and BrewDog. The sector has attracted substantial funding, with Recharge completing a remarkable funding round in 2021. This came atop its already stable, cash-flow-positive business and supported its further progress as the subscription industry developed. The company is focused on maintaining its strong position, with new updates and improvements to its offering, including Retain, a suite of tools designed to support retention throughout the subscriber lifecycle.
