Who you are
- 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping complex features in production systems
- Demonstrated track record leading technical initiatives that span multiple teams or systems
- Extensive experience with 0-1 builds
- Proficient with AI coding tools as part of daily development
- Experience at early-staged venture-backed startups (e.g. seed through Series C stage)
- Strong communicator who can align stakeholders around technical decisions

What the job involves
- We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to be a core member of our Product Engineering team—writing code every day while driving architecture decisions, mentoring senior engineers, and partnering with Product and Clinical teams to build software that directly improves patient outcomes
- Own and drive architecture decisions across our stack, setting patterns the whole team builds on
- Lead complex, ambiguous product challenges end-to-end—from technical design through shipping to end users
- Mentor other engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and pairing
- Partner with Product, Design, and Clinical teams to translate clinical workflows into scalable solutions
- Identify and drive improvements to technical debt, reliability, and developer experience
- Champion AI tools in your daily workflow and help establish team-wide best practices

As the US struggles with skyrocketing rates of anxiety and depression, electronic health-record startup Osmind helps healthcare providers manage their patients, run their practices, and allows everyone to contribute to research for better treatments in the future.
Using EHRs for research isn’t a new concept, with Flatiron Health and Verily using EHR data to gain insights into drug and therapy options for diseases ranging from cancer to heart disease. But Osmind is leading the race to bring this concept to the area of mental health, building a dataset of patient’s real-time reported symptoms that can be analyzed by researchers studying drugs or other interventions.
The company is partnered with Stanford University School of Medicine, United BioSource, insurance company Enthea and mental health platform First Tracks. Following a substantial Series B funding round led by DFJ Growth it has been focusing on more hiring and critical product improvements, such as expanding the types of data the software can capture.
