Role
Who you are
- GoFundMe’s Creative Studio is looking for a conceptual Senior Copywriter to join our small and mighty team
- This role is for someone who can bounce between big 360 briefs and tactical one-off briefs—often in the same day
- You’re adept at working within brand guidelines but you also know when to push creative into new territories
- You know how to think big, sweat the details, and make it all sound good
- Strong portfolio of conceptual thinking and copywriting
- 5-10 years of experience as a copywriter
- Penchant for storytelling, especially with real people
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadliness
- The ability to adapt your tone for different audiences and channels
- A scrappy, can-do attitude. You’re not above any task and are always ready to pitch in
- Strong collaboration skills. You know how to work with a team and give and receive feedback
- A genuine passion for storytelling and helping others
What the job involves
- This role will give you the opportunity to make a positive impact with your creativity, and contribute to meaningful projects that inspire billions of dollars of generosity
- Brainstorm and develop creative concepts. First quantity, then quality
- Refine and execute campaigns for social, email, digital, and traditional media
- Work closely with marketing, PR, and product to help our story cut through
- Iterate on ideas and deliver polished work with a high level of craft
- Bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the team
- Develop concepts that resonate with our audience and reflect brand values
- Help define and evolve our brand voice

The platform started initially with a focus on charity and good causes, but its scope has now expanded to include start-up business funding. What makes the platform attractive is its ability to democratize fundraising through the medium of online.
GoFundMe's rapid rise in popularity has been helped by its social media integrations and the speed at which individuals can start funds. With strategic foresight, the company launched its GoFundMe Guarantee in 2016, a pledge to protect donors from fraud or platform misuse - knowing that its continued growth could only be hampered by security issues or donor deception.
