Our take
While self-driving cars have demonstrated many virtues, improving vehicle navigation and safety is paramount. Perceptive Automata is leading the charge to find solutions that allow full integration of machine learning into self-driving vehicles. They're tackling what's traditionally viewed as one of the hardest problems for automated driving: human behavior prediction technology for the safe large-scale rollout of highly automated and autonomous vehicles, especially in urban areas.
The company enables those vehicles to understand what people might donext so they can navigate safely and smoothly around humans, including pedestrians, cyclists, and other drivers. Among the many attributes Perceptive Automata integrates is a development and executive team skilled in evaluating and implementing the latest developments in psychophysics and neuroscience. Perceptive Automata’s various technological applications and State of Mind AI are being integrated with ADAS and other autonomous driving systems to improve vehicle response with regard to responding to approaching vehicles and pedestrians, ultimately improving performance and safety.
Major automobile brands like BMW, Tesla and Ford are continuing to configure and implement their technologies to seize market share. However, with customers including Toyota, Hyundai and Honda propelling its recent growth and funding efforts, Perceptive Automata looks poised to continue to refine its applications to apply its vision of perfect machine vision.
