Role
Who you are
- Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA) (at least +25-50%) and passion to qualify
- Good A levels / degree qualification
- You'll have experience in an assistant management accounting role including: Supporting preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts, Supporting preparation of month end and year end accounts including preparation of journals, allocations, balance sheet reconciliations and calculation of provisions and accruals, Some business partnering experience desirable not essential
- Advanced Excel user essential - ability to analyse and manipulate large dataset
- NetSuite experience is desirable but not neccessary
- Effective communication written and oral skills
- Hands-on approach with a readiness to be flexible
- A pragmatic approach and the ability to see commercial, customer centric solutions
- A sense of camaraderie and good humour while under pressure with Finance and Non-Finance teams
What the job involves
- As the Finance Business Partner, you will support the Technology Senior Finance Business Partner and various operational business teams to support the strategic and operational decision-making process through insights that drive better performance
- Support the preparation, review and monitoring all areas of Technology, TML (Strategic Business Unit) and Fixed Assets management accounts on an ongoing basis, identifying and explaining any key variances
- Support the continual development of monthly reporting and analysis for Technology, TML and Fixed Assets
- Preparation, review and monitoring of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring postings are clear and understood by all, and balances substantiated associated with Technology, TML and Fixed Assets
- Preparation of monthly posting of accurate accruals, prepayments and to reconcile and provide commentary on any variances to budget and forecast
- When required support the preparation of the Annual Technology and TML Budgets process and ongoing forecast on an ongoing basis, identifying and explaining any key variances
- Preparation, review and development of all areas of Technology time sheets. Ensuring accurate and timely analysis to aid the production of management accounts and Technology management team decision making,
- To be involved, as appropriate, in the operations team and Finance Department special projects, annual budget setting, monthly forecasting, finance systems and process improvements, modelling work, and any other general requirements
- Provide ad hoc reports and analytics as required to business partners and finance leadership team
