Who you are
- Experience using Google Analytics and Looker
- Experience in A/B testing and using feature tags
- Experience testing Ads on web, iOS/Android mobile native apps
- Knowledgeable about sports rules and statistics for popular sports in the US, such as baseball, softball, basketball, soccer
- Precision in isolating issues and identifying steps to reproduce
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Positive energy and a friendly collaborative attitude
- Excellent technical understanding, as well as the ability to learn new software
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and quality
- Ability to trade off getting tasks done with stepping back to see the big picture
- 1 - 5 years of experience as a QA Analyst or a similar role
- Experience with Test Case Management and Bug Tracking software
- Work experience in the software industry is a plus
- Test automation experience is a plus
- Startup experience is a plus
What the job involves
- As a QA Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our cross-functional Product Team, ensuring that our iOS, Android and web applications meet our high standards for quality
- Your primary responsibility will involve validating and verifying the functionality of advertisements across various platforms and devices while monitoring and reporting on key ads performance metrics
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design and Product Management teams to ensure mobile apps / web releases go smoothly
- Coordinate with QA testers, QA Leads and Release Manager
- Contribute to planning sessions and provide testing effort estimates
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for new features (Ads)
- Validate and verify functionality of ads across various platforms and devices to ensure smooth user experience
- Monitor, collect and analyze key performance metrics related to advertisements, quality and other relevant data
- Support and execute A/B tests to evaluate the impact of various ads on user engagement and conversion rates
- Document issues using a bug-tracking system
- Manage and improve test/release processes within product team
- Execute, improve and expand our regression test coverage
- Triage bugs and identify risks
- Triage CX tickets and perform investigation
- Communicate issues found, concerns, and feedback back to the team
Our take
The competitive nature of sports has always been driven by scorekeeping, and nowadays results are often consumed online. However, for smaller teams it can be difficult to provide this information digitally, as they do not have dedicated web development staff.
GameChanger provides a scorekeeping and statistics platform for sports teams to engage with their fans, that allows viewers to track the progress of a game in real-time similar to with professional sports. The company also embeds a live-streaming service into the platform to facilitate remote viewing, helping to increase audience engagement.
Whilst some sports teams already stream events on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube, most do not have the technical resources to achieve this. GameChanger has recognised this gap in the market, providing a simple yet unified platform for sports scoreboards and streaming, providing a fair opportunity for any team to maximise their community engagement.
