Role
Who you are
- This role is fully remote and open to candidates in the U.S
- Bachelor's degree from a top university; MBA or MPH preferred
- 8-12 years of business leadership experience in a dynamic, fast-paced organization; a background in the digital health ecosystem is preferred
- Deep personal commitment to improving the status quo approach to women’s health
- Passion for building from scratch and turning business plans into reality
- Experience leading a high-growth company, P&L, business unit, and/or multiple teams
- Ability to maintain a long-term, strategic view on key issues while concurrently overseeing the detailed execution of day-to-day tasks required of a leader at an early-stage startup
- Exceptional listening skills and experience articulating an inspiring vision for complex initiatives and ensuring there is sufficient accountability and follow-up to deliver results
- A proven track record of developing effective and consultative relationships across all levels of a company and bringing people together to successfully support organizational growth and agility through periods of uncertainty, agility, and change
- Executive skill set of strategic thinking, professional polish, entrepreneurial spirit, clear communication, and decisive leadership
What the job involves
- The GM will have a significant degree of autonomy to maintain flexibility and operational efficiency, while also collaborating with Aegis and other portfolio company leadership to achieve studio-wide goals
- As an early leadership hire, the GM will lead and scale a startup with the full support of the Aegis platform, including its advisory network, and assistance with recruiting, legal, and business operations
- Organization Leadership:
- Shape and maintain the vision and connect it to team goals
- Guide the startup team through the development of NewCo’s strategic plan, setting clear goals and KPIs in order to drive outstanding performance
- Ensure that the NewCo team maintains alignment with the principle of patient-first, clinician-led medicine and creates a collaborative, rewarding work environment
- Define the organization’s hiring needs, executing on a roadmap to recruit a top-tier founding team that is structured for rapid scale
- Comprehensively onboard each new hire with the appropriate context around company mission vision, role definition and expectations, and long-term success
- Business Strategy and Development:
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to iterate and deliver a platform that provides a technologically unmatched experience for patients and providers
- Analyze user feedback on a routine basis and lead the continuous revenue-driven prioritization of product features
- Oversee an enterprise-wide implementation with a large B2B customer
- Operations:
- Manage budget and cash flow of day-to-day operations and ensure burn is in line with strategic and operational goals
- Maintain oversight of billing, revenue management, and reimbursements
- Partner with the Aegis team on pivotal milestones and projects that involve our corporate healthcare partner, and provide routine progress updates
