Role
Who you are
- Bachelors degree
- 2+ years of sales/ commercial experience, preferably from within the hospitality sector or similar
- Street hustler prepared to ‘get stuck in’ and do what it takes to close deals - willing to prove themselves in the early months to be able to build out a pod of their own
- Strategic thinker able to elevate the business from the day-to-day where appropriate
- Well-rounded individual able and willing to flex to take ownership where necessary outside of their areas of core responsibility
- Strong commercial acumen with strong negotiation skills
- Charismatic and energetic with a passion for food
- A self-starter mentality with a relentless work ethic, drive to succeed and competitive edge
- Excited by the end game and motivated by building an enormous enterprise
- Prepared to work very hard, take responsibility and make decisions at speed, comfortable finding order in chaos

What the job involves
- This position is ideal for someone looking to progress their sales career in an exciting, high-growth start-up. All new Business Development Managers join our bespoke 'Sales Academy' and undergo 4 months development before graduating into one of our Sales Pods
- This role sits at the heart of our business, ensuring our brands can scale like wildfire through a network of operator ‘Hosts’
- The role will be responsible for hitting both the phones and the street, to find and build your own network of Hosts (operators) while working together with the wider team to ensure the success of the Hosts you sign-up
- Approaching Hosts through cold-calling, industry connections, field sales, emails etc.
- Identifying and prospecting leads within the hospitality sector, ideal for supporting the growth of our brands
- Managing your pipeline end to end, from pitching our model to closing the deal through face-to-face and/or virtual meetings, to sign-up new host operators (restaurants, pubs, dark kitchens, takeaway shops) who will operate our brands from their existing kitchens
- Using our CRM system (Hubspot), giving visibility to management team of your progress
- Ensuring we have coverage of your whole region: using tools provided to prioritise the best zones first
- Input for sourcing / recommending new brands to be added to the network
- Build a tight relationship with the wider team to maintain Host quality and to encourage the addition of new brands
- Be the eyes and ears of what’s happening on the ground and use this insight to influence and contribute to the business strategy
- Get up to speed quickly with our model, to deliver 4+ hosts per month once fully onboarded
