Role
Who you are
- Hands-on experience building and shipping AI-powered products
- Familiarity in LLM evaluation techniques: tool correctness, grounding, hallucination detection, prompt tuning, safety, etc
- Understanding of RAG, multi-modal inputs, prompt engineering, and customer-specific customization
- Practical knowledge of LLM observability, model selection, and cost-performance tradeoffs
- Experience working in startup or high-speed product environments, where ownership and iteration are key
- Proven experience designing and building robust, scalable software systems
- Experience using AI developer tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Surfboard) as part of your day-to-day workflow—and a willingness to share those practices to uplift the entire team
- A natural coach and mentor—someone who makes the team better by sharing insights, patterns, and feedback
- Voice interface or voice UX experience is a strong plus
- Familiarity with modern dev stacks (e.g., AWS, Python, Node.js, React) and CI/CD pipelines
What the job involves
- As we pivot our platform to be AI-first, we’re looking for a Senior AI Developer who thrives at the intersection of applied machine intelligence and practical engineering
- Build agentic AI systems that solve real-world connectivity and support problems through planning, tool use, and multi-step reasoning
- Lead the effort in evaluating LLM usage for safety, correctness, hallucination, contextual relevance, and performance—ensuring the right model is used for the job
- Design robust prompts and workflows to support voice and text-based interactions across a wide variety of customer environments
- Guide and mentor other engineers, elevating the team’s ability to build agentic systems through design reviews, pairing, and shared tooling
- Partner with product and CX teams to deeply understand customer problems and drive intelligent solutions
- Prototype quickly to learn what works—and scale what does
- We use AWS (EKS, Lambda, Dynamo, RDS), OpenAI, Snowflake, Node.js, Python, React, Android, and iOS. You don’t need to know it all—but you should be comfortable picking up new tools fast

Whilst good customer service and infrastructural maintenance can help, traditional diagnosis methods often require repetitive trial and error and questioning, ultimately leading to long queues, longer downtime, and lower customer satisfaction.
RouteThis provides a WiFi connection management and analytics platform, allowing ISPs and IoT companies to visualize the status of their users' connections, diagnose issues remotely, and facilitate seamless and rapid customer service to ensure reconnection. The company claims that its connectivity solutions will help attract and retain customers, fuel revenue growth, reduce employee budgets through automation, and grow market share.
Whilst remote customer service for WiFi and other networking services already exists, RouteThis stands out with its data-driven approach, augmenting the diagnoses process and identifying the source of technical problems quickly and effectively. Through this approach, the company aims to speed up migration to IoT connections by making it easier for companies to provide excellent technical support.
