- Ideally, you'll have some HR, People or employee relations experience - this Isn't essential, but would help you get up to speed quickly
- You'll be able to use Microsoft Office to a good standard and have experience of picking up new systems or platforms quickly. (e.g., Slack, HRIS, ATS and other internal systems)
- You'll be curious and interested to grow a generalist HR career within an Internal team - and you'll look to start your CIPD qualifications with us
- You appreciate that when working In a role within the People team, confidentiality and discretion will be key to your success
What the job involves
- Coordination of the employee lifecycle processes:
- Managing our new joiner administration with the Talent Acquisition team
- Issuing contracts of employment
- Requesting and managing reference and background checks, with our external provider, Zinc
- Supporting the smooth running of our global onboarding sessions
- Helping with our leaver process, ensuring we capture feedback and Insight
- Compiling and sending ad-hoc letters and employment changes
- Writing and sharing Important employee communications and updates to the wider business - and keeping our audience and tone of voice In mind for anything we share
- Supporting the creation of automated workflow processes in our HRIS (we use Bob across the global business) to improve efficiency and visibility of administrative tasks
- Assisting with the coordination and communication of our learning and development activities by ensuring we have the right resources in place; so, our events run smoothly
- Coordinating and sending out our regular employee care-packs, new joiner welcome packs and celebratory gifts which show our people that we care
- Working together across the People Team on a range bigger, strategic projects. We've got a busy year planned for 2022, so there's plenty of opportunity to get Involved and learn something new!
Our take
ManyPets offers pet insurance policies with generous pet health benefits, designed with the pets' needs in mind. Since 2017, ManyPets has helped to insure over half a million household pets. With more customers joining daily, the business is seeing considerable global growth.
ManyPets boast a number of awards within insurance and technology, ranking 30th on the Tech Track 100 (2020), they also won the Insurance Choice Awards (2020) for Best Pet Insurance Provider and Innovation of the Year.
However, 2023 was an eventful year for the pet insurance company, from pausing in the US market to exiting the Swedish market. Notably, the company recently announced a £42 million loss for the year ending March 2023. Despite these challenges, ManyPets remains resilient and forward-focused, halving its losses in 2024 and overhauling its product range in 2025. With an eye on growth and innovation, the company is well-poised to navigate these shifts, learn from experiences, and continue making strides in the evolving landscape of pet insurance.
