Who you are
- 10 years of marketing experience in brand, content, creative, or agency strategy roles
- Demonstrated ability to tell compelling stories leveraging a variety of methods and channels to truly bring a brand to life
- Experience directly managing teams and growing talent; has built teams before
- Has managed a marketing budget and outsourced resources
- Has an understanding of performance marketing and deeply understands the marketing funnel. Is capable of creating and coordinating the execution of content / assets or campaigns that have different strategies for impacting different parts of the funnel
- Able to apply data to decision-making and familiarity with Google Analytics, Looker or similar BI / reporting tools
- You’re a great mix of creative and analytical thinking, always focused on the consumer
- Able to flex between focusing on details and the big-picture, to best understand and support overall business needs
- Ability to constantly juggle multiple priorities and responsibilities, continuously prioritizing your efforts, in a fast-paced environment
- Work well with internal and external stakeholders, thriving on pushing the collective to get the best possible results, but doing so in a collaborative way
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to get your point across in a succinct and professional manner

What the job involves
- Serve as key partner to the CMO in co-owning our company's marketing calendar, including leading briefing processes for broad, omnichannel marketing campaigns
- Ownership of the Dutch content budget, with responsibility for finding the right balance between in-house and external resources
- Develop, execute, and refine a content strategy (pet stories, testimonials, PR, physical inserts, product detail pages…) that helps bring the Dutch service to life in a distinctive and relevant way
- Responsible for owned social channels, working to develop channel-specific strategies, launching on new platforms, and developing content-driven campaigns
- Develop an understanding of the target customer's mindsets, attitudes, behaviors and desires. Translate those insights into strategies that truly bring the brand to life
- Co-own our earned media efforts in service to growing brand awareness and affinity with our target audience
- Own end to end brand-led campaign execution, including defining success metrics, target audience, messaging/messaging hierarchy, and creative
- Partner with Growth and Retention marketing teams to help drive user growth and increase customer engagement through content creation, comms development, and creative ownership of key owned web surfaces
Our take
As most pet owners know, visits to the vet can be eye-wateringly expensive. That’s not just a financial cost, but a welfare risk for pets as owners often wait until their pet is experiencing a much larger issue so that they can make the most of one vet visit and just one fee.
Dutch flips the veterinary business model on its head by providing a telemedicine service for pets through a monthly subscription. Pet owners are asked to provide a few details, after which they can set up a time for a video call. And once they've completed their first visit, they can reconnect with a vet at any time through the platform.
Dutch has been investing funding in its intellectual property and growing its electronic medical records database - to make it easier for pet owners to collect and share their pets’ data and prescriptions. It's also been growing its pharmacy network, and even launched pet insurance in partnership with Pets Best.
While the company began with a focus on chronic pet health, it has since grown into a full-service virtual care platform, now treating over 150 conditions across all 50 states. With smart tech, fast growth, and a loyal user base, it's quickly becoming a go-to for modern pet care.
