Who you are
- You have prior experience in a senior technical leadership position
- You have strong people management and leadership skills
- You are at your best when untangling conceptual problems and drilling down into the details
- You enjoy wearing multiple hats and thrive in a startup environment
- You don’t mind getting into the fine details of complex engineering efforts
- You can clearly communicate decisions and the rationale behind them
- You are a team player and organised, but also enjoy working with autonomy
- You apply a product-driven approach to solving problems and enjoy leading a technical team that is striving towards commercial goals
- You have broad technical experience across back-end, front-end, data and analytics, infrastructure, CI/CD
- You love building new innovative products from scratch
- You are flexible—we’re a young startup and you’ll be building lots of fun things, proof of concepts, MVPs and experiments!
What the job involves
- Work with the Founder to define our product and technology strategy
- Drive our overall engineering strategy and implement engineering best practices
- Hire, build and retain a growing team of software engineers
- Manage and execute project plans and delivery commitments
- Build strong cross-team relationships between Product, Design and Engineering
- Communicate with the team, including non-technical team members, about the status of development, quality, operations and system performances

- Phase 2 (90-min video call): We’ll schedule another video call to chat about your experience and past projects, particularly when it comes to senior/managerial roles
- Phase 3 (In-person meeting): We'll invite you for an in-person meeting for the final round and for you to meet other members of the team. It's also a chance for you to get a sense of the team and our office environment
- If all goes well, we'll make you an offer conditional upon reference checks
