As we continue to expand our global reach and redefine what a home can be, we’re looking for a bold, strategic, and creative leader to join us as our Director of PR, Social & Influencer
As our Director of PR, Social & Influencer, you’ll shape how the world sees and talks about Ruggable. You’ll lead the charge in crafting and amplifying our brand story across earned, owned, and shared channels from major media placements to viral social moments to impactful creator partnerships. You’ll build strategies that drive cultural relevance, inspire our customers, and spark conversations that move the brand forward
This is a rare opportunity to lead a team of passionate storytellers and community builders at a fast-growing, design-driven company. You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, product, and leadership teams to make Ruggable a household name and beloved lifestyle brand
Develop and execute an integrated PR, social media, and influencer strategy that elevates brand awareness and cultural resonance
Lead and inspire a team of talented PR, social, and influencer managers and specialists
Build and maintain relationships with key media, editors, creators, and tastemakers to secure impactful, on-brand coverage and partnerships
Oversee all social media content and community strategies, driving engagement and growth across platforms
Shape influencer campaigns from concept to execution, ensuring they authentically represent Ruggable’s brand voice and values
Partner closely with brand, creative, and media teams to align storytelling and effectiveness across all channels
Partner closely with Customer Experience teams to keep customer satisfaction at the forefront of social
Track performance and translate insights into actionable strategies to continuously evolve our approach
Identify cultural trends and moments to keep Ruggable at the forefront of conversation

Our take

Whilst rugs are a staple of interior design and home energy efficiency, they have historically proven a tough solution for people with kids, pets, or messy lifestyles. So Ruggable’s washable, spill-proof rug solution would have come as a welcome innovation when the company launched just over a decade ago. The product consists of a heavier duty base, and a decorative ‘rug layer’ on top, and Ruggable has been consistently expanding the design range of this product ever since.

One obstacle Ruggable will face is that washable materials have developed enough in the decade since Ruggable was founded to allow competitors to gather speed with simpler products. Brands including home design giant Dunelm, for example, offer rugs that are fully washable, without having to separate out the pieces.

Where Ruggable is certainly strong is branding. The company has done well to get products trending, with a successful focus on bloggers and major news outlets. Excellent reviews and superior product exposure are strong keys to success, especially in a period where DTC sales are king.
