Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of professional experience in software QA
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with test design techniques and practical implementation
- Strong knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS, client-server architecture, and APIs
- Experience testing RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Awareness of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience testing with tools like Axe, Lighthouse, or screen readers
- Solid experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA)
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with proven problem-solving abilities
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality, user-centered products
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
Desirable
- Experience testing native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android)
- Familiarity with mobile app testing tools such as Xcode, Android Studio, Appium, Detox, or BrowserStack
- Understanding of mobile app distribution workflows (TestFlight, Google Play Console) and CI/CD integration
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Espresso, XCUITest)
- Experience designing and executing accessibility test strategies to ensure inclusive user experiences
- Experience contributing to performance and security testing initiatives
- Experience testing healthcare applications, electronic health record (EHR) systems, or products handling sensitive health data (HIPAA, PHIPA, or similar compliance environments)

- You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of a suite of tools for providers, patient workflows, and diagnostic reporting

- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and developers to shape quality from the ground up
- Analyze and evaluate business requirements with product managers and translate them into test strategies
- Create, execute, and maintain test documentation and test plans
- Execute manual and automated testing of web applications: exploratory, functional, acceptance, regression, and UI testing
- Test APIs and backend services (REST, GraphQL) for robustness and correctness
- Ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, prioritized, and tracked
- Lead root cause analysis with developers to accelerate defect resolution
- Mentor junior QA engineers and help instill best practices across the team
- Be an active voice in process improvements to raise product quality and engineering performance
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality
- Ensure web applications meet accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA) through manual and automated testing
- Contribute to performance and security testing efforts where applicable
Our take
The quantified self movement is gaining momentum, especially in the health and fitness sector. Wearable health monitors, sleep trackers, and genetic testing have all firmly entered the mainstream, and body MRI scanning service Prenuvo is taking this concept to the next level. Prenuvo’s whole body diagnostic imaging offers customers a comprehensive picture of their body, whilst screening for 500+ major conditions and cancers.
The medical benefits of approaching these diseases proactively, as opposed to reactively, are substantial. Customers will be able to catch warning signs early, meaning treatment is likely to be less invasive, with a higher success rate. Unfortunately North America, like many regions, has yet to make substantial investments in preventative healthcare. This just makes companies like Prenuvo, and the VCs who fund them, increasingly necessary.
This funding, however has been substantial, and having closed a Series A funding round in 2022 Prenuvo has moved swiftly to open new clinics across the United States. Its next step is to improve the accessibility of its service - currently scans cost about $1000, but improvements in the technology and working processes will cut the cost by two thirds or more and greatly expand Prenuvo's addressable market.
