You’re happy designing for matchbooks, Instagram ads, emails, webpages, and everything both in between and beyond. Whether big or small, you look for ways to intersect consumers’ lives to communicate a brand truth in a way that feels relevant, authentic, and memorable
- 5+ years as a visual designer in an agency, studio, or in-house creative team
- A strong background and passion for digital creative, from production of web experience to directing motion design
- Experience adapting consistent and effective visual expressions across digital, print, video, social, and non-traditional media
- Bonus: Direct experience working with a research team, or using performance data to inform creative decisions
- Bonus: Technical motion production skills with After Effects (or a similar program)
- Bonus: Illustration or drawing skills
What the job involves
- We’re looking for an experienced visual designer to join Wealthfront’s Creative Team, reporting to our Creative Director, Visual
- As a Senior Creative, you’ll help us find smart, engaging ways to bring our brand promise to life with strategic insight and impeccable execution—and you’ll play an important role in shaping our brand and influencing the future of financial services
- You’ll be responsible for collaborating closely with cross-functional colleagues to create a wide range of awesome things: producing assets to support a tentpole brand campaign, supporting the launch of innovative products, and visualizing the ins and outs of complex financial products with clarity and just the right amount of flair
- Not only will you find new, unexpected (and unexpectedly fun) ways to get people excited about their financial future, you’ll deliver the kinds of exciting creative ideas that no one would ever expect from a financial institution
- Lead large, complex creative initiatives with a keen understanding of business objectives
- Foster strong relationships with marketing and business teams to streamline collaboration and develop new strategic opportunities
- Contribute to and refine strategic insights, enhancing the creative development process
- Dive into briefing and research materials to develop informed perspectives on creative challenges and advocate for exceptional client experiences at every step of the creative process
- Share knowledge, mentor and guide other team members to achieve their full potential
- Oversee campaigns from concept to delivery, incorporating stakeholder feedback effectively
- Deliver multiple strategic directions for each creative phase, testing our assumptions and uncovering surprising solutions
- Take on projects with ambiguous or non-specific deliverables, driving them from concept to execution
- Collaborate with team members to evolve brand expressions and maintain brand consistency
- Craft tailored messages and innovative executions across various media formats
Our take
Wealthfront's platform takes the hassle and stress out of investing, financial planning, borrowing, and saving with automated services and financial advice. Its robo-advisor allows customers to set a financial limit on their accounts, anything above the limit is moved into an investment account or another account chosen by the customer.
Indeed, it has some similarities to round-up apps like Acorn, which round up purchases and put the spare change into savings. There are other companies working on robo-advisors too, such as Morgan Stanley and Betterment.
Nonetheless, with an impressive and steadily increasing list of clients, with more than $50B of assets under its management, Wealthfront achieved Unicorn status in September 2022. Wealthfront is diversifying its offerings, branching into high-interest checking accounts and investment advice.
