Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of privacy program management experience
- Ability to scale processes and procedures, as well as partner with diverse teams across an enterprise
- General understanding of, and interest in, IT, Information Security, and Privacy Engineering
- Familiarity with data analytics, data structures and a general understanding of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning technologies/methodologies is considered a huge plus
- Experience operationalizing privacy regulations and ability to understand contractual, regulatory and industry-related requirements
- Experience in mapping, testing and leveraging enterprise privacy frameworks (e.g., Fair Information Practice Principles (FIPPs), OECD Privacy Guidelines, GAPP Maturity Model, ISO 27701, or NIST Privacy Framework (PMF)
- CIPP/US, CIPM or other relevant privacy or security certification strongly preferred
What the job involves
- We are hiring for a Privacy Program Manager, to sit within Chime’s enterprise Privacy Team
- In this role, you will help design and manage our privacy program, operationalizing the program with a focus on implementing tools, policies, and training to govern the handling and processing of Chime members’ personal and sensitive data
- Help to develop and manage the implementation of privacy policies and procedures as well as the delivery of privacy training
- Work with product, engineering, security, compliance and other teams to design and manage a privacy impact analysis program
- Help put in place measures to ensure compliance with privacy laws, regulations, and industry best-practices, including the mapping of policies and controls to Chime’s internal business operations and company culture
- Team with Security, IT, Engineering and other teams to ensure privacy is embedded into all of chime’s data processing activities
