- Qualified Accountant 4 years post qualification - ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA

What the job involves
- This role is an integral part of the reporting and wider finance team ensuring there is robust control over the balance sheet, identifying and reporting on risks and opportunities
- Whilst this role sits in the Reporting team, reporting into the Head Reporting, there will be strong interactions with Financial Operations, Treasury and FP&A
- Manage the monthly balance sheet reviews to deliver an accurate financial position and high quality reconciliations, all completed in a timely manner
- Produce high quality monthly balance sheet reporting
- Provide quality variance analysis which really understands the key drivers and can identify potential risks and opportunities faced by the business
- Drive accurate and insightful analysis on the larger risk areas of the balance sheet being trade creditors, debtors and associated provisioning
- Lead a team and develop them to be subject matter experts across the BS, providing insights and support to the wider finance team and stakeholders within the business
- Drive continuous improvement with regards to the teams process and control environment - seeking efficiencies
- Ensure reporting is compliant with IFRS and local reporting requirements

Despite travel companies suffering considerable reputation damage back in 2020, as they struggled to refund customers whose booked holidays were suddenly cancelled, the appeal of companies like loveholidays to holidaymakers will undoubtedly endure seeing as they make the process of booking holidays much easier.
In the nearest future, loveholidays will need to focus on maintaining its reputation, especially given the wide array of direct competitors who could steal market share. At present, however, loveholidays is still one of the fastest growing online travel agents. If it can keep up the practices which have brought it success over the past 10 years, loveholidays is still in a good position to keep its growth strong for few years to come.
