Role

Who you are

  • CS degree (or similar)
  • Professional experience as a backend engineer
  • Design and architecture practices, including in the context of large-scale web applications
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, or similar testing frameworks
  • Technical rigour through collaborative, multi-disciplinary and thorough refinement processes. We want hackers and painters!
  • A challenger mindset - to implement new patterns and libraries, and to improve readability and efficiency

What the job involves

  • You will join one of our 3 cross functional Tech squads based in our London office where you will work with product and design to create products that delight our users
  • A Backend Engineer (Golang) at GetGround works on projects such as financial infrastructure, robust systems for high value transactions and company management
  • Working with Golang, you'll build large-scale technology that will change the world for the better!
  • As part of a cross functional, collaborative team, you will participate in the entire application lifecycle, from architecting to development, testing and review
  • Collaborate with Frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

GetGround exists to change this, making it easier for more people to invest in wealth generating assets, starting with real estate.

GetGround takes first time investors through the end-to-end journey of finding, financing, and managing property investments, through their proprietary platform. As the first such product offering in this space it has already captured a sizeable share of the market it seeks to disrupt, with over 15,000 customers accounting for 10% of the UK buy-to-let sector.

GetGround has received funding from the UK government and high profile VC investors, and has £1 billion worth of assets on its platform. It plans to broaden out to other countries and asset classes in the future as it continues to lower the barriers to investing.
