Role
Who you are
- 6+ years of brand design experience; preferably within Healthtech, Fintech, or SaaS Start ups
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity either managing junior designers and/or agency support
- Strong design portfolio showcasing impeccable design craft across a variety of digital projects - including sales enablement and omni channel campaign assets
- Video Experience either through design or direction is highly preferred
- Supplemental skills such as motion design/animation, 3D, photography, or illustration are a plus
- Experience as a primary contributor to multiple high-impact projects, bringing comfort in art direction, setting aesthetic tone for campaigns, and creating visually compelling, cohesive work that resonates with brand identity and elevates creative standards
- In-depth knowledge of design tools including Figma (components, variables), Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator
- Proven track record of creating world-class brand experiences
- Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional leadership
- Demonstrated ability to push projects forward in spite of ambiguity
- Strong understanding of design principles, trends, and best practices
- A proactive, growth mindset and willingness to work in the open
What the job involves
- Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you are a sharp, detail-obsessed Senior Brand Designer (first in role) who will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Candid Health’s marketing brand and supporting marketing campaign production as well as asset generation ranging from sales enablement materials, to product and brand videos, to onsite event experiences
- Develop and execute national brand campaigns, integrating design, film, photography, and copy to drive brand awareness and lead generation
- Create overarching creative concepts and campaign narratives for omnichannel brand and product campaigns as well as brand activations
- Create and craft social campaigns that grab and hold attention through type and graphic animation
- Develop and maintain the visual identity of Candid Health, ensuring consistency across all marketing touchpoints
- Build design systems in both static and motion formats to be applied across web, social media, collateral, partner and influencer toolkits
- Create unique brand identities, event themes, logos, and on-screen graphics; work closely with copywriters and other team members to develop engaging and effective content
- Create visually stunning and user-friendly web and mobile designs that optimize the user experience
- Translate complex concepts and data into visually appealing and easy-to-understand graphics
- Define and clearly articulate aesthetic direction for individual marketing campaigns
- Build and present design decks from creative sketches to final toolkits
- Evolve and apply graphic brand standards across a wide variety of media, including digital, social, dotcom, signage, and tradeshow event display
- Responsible for managing the design and print production of sales material
- Organize all necessary artwork and mechanicals for release to vendors
- Ensure all aspects of final graphics are delivered on time, on budget, and in a manner that represents the brand authentically
- Stay informed about the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporate them into the design process
Our take
Healthcare spending in the US medical system has been ballooning for decades. Administration contributes a substantial portion to this, constituting almost three times what other developed countries spend proportionate to their healthcare budget - and taking up valuable physician hours. The detrimental impact this has on the quality and affordability of care has meant solutions are becoming urgent, and Candid Health is contributing a strong one.
The data and AI-driven platform helps healthcare providers automate the process of submitting, chasing, and appealing insurance claims. It’s regularly audited by HIPAA, helping the company dodge the tightening data protection net that’s stunted the progress of some medtech startups. Having passed this obstacle the company is running at modest capacity - the challenge now is to lock in a broader client base, which could prove challenging.
Companies like Change Healthcare and Flobotics, for example, offer automated claims submissions as part of a broader robotic process automation service for medical institutions. It may be that this holistic administrative software proves more attractive for overburdened providers. For now, however, Candid Health is gaining a respectable amount of traction and enjoyed a funding round of $29 million in 2024.
