Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile development environment, preferably within a startup or fast-paced organisation
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful digital product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience in scrum, kanban, and working in cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
- Experience with user research and customer-centric product development, with a focus on improving user experience and solving user pain points
- Outstanding communication skills: Ability to clearly convey product vision and requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with product management tools such as Jira, Miro, Figma, Notion or similar platforms
- Strong analytical skills: Ability to interpret data, monitor KPIs, and make informed decisions based on metrics
- This position requires on-site presence in our Berlin office
- You are eligible to work within the EU
Desirable
- Have already worked on products that require heavy localization
- Have First-class verbal and written communication skills in English (German is a plus)
- Are familiar with the health tech sector or a strong interest in mission-driven, socially impactful products
What the job involves
- Translate business goals into product features: Clearly define and break down features and product ideas into user stories and product requirements
- Gather and analyse user feedback: Collaborate with UX/UI Designers to facilitate user research and gather feedback from our customers
- Communicate product vision: Be the product ambassador, consistently communicating product vision, goals, and progress internally and externally
- Prioritise: Assess and prioritise trade-offs based on technical constraints, user impact, and business value, ensuring timely and effective product delivery
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work alongside software engineers, UX/UI designers, marketing, and sales teams to ensure smooth product launches and feature rollouts
- Monitor performance and iterate: Regularly evaluate product performance using key metrics, identify areas for improvement, and lead iterative product enhancements
- Create and maintain product documentation: Ensure all product requirements, user stories, technical specifications, and other documentation are thoroughly documented and kept up-to-date throughout the product development process

Despite this, infertility affects men, women, and LGBTQ+ employees equally and causes great stress to those affected, showing a demand for employers that provide support for them in starting a family.
Apryl provides an employee fertility benefits platform for businesses, helping them to overcome inequalities by helping every employee to thrive in their career whilst planning a family, despite infertility. The company achieves this by providing a dashboard of anonymized employee data, using it to identify employees who need consultations, insurance, or reimbursement for family-building services such as fertility treatment or adoption.
Most companies already provide parental paid time-off or childcare stipends to their employees which shows support for them to start a family, but this presents inequality to infertile employees, a problem that Apryl has identified. Through its data-driven approach, insurance, and reimbursement offerings, the company shows potential to pioneer a new form of employee benefit whilst tackling workplace inequalities.
