Product Design Manager, SpotOn

• We’re looking for a Product Design Manager ready to grow their impact and craft in a collaborative, mission-driven environment
• This is a high-leverage people leadership role for someone who thrives on growing others, directing design efforts, and elevating design’s impact across the organization
• Relevant education or training in product design, UX, UI and/or interaction design ○ Higher-education degree or boot camp certification are acceptable
• Professional portfolio that highlights your process, design thinking, aesthetic excellence and problem solving skills
• Proficient with design tools (e.g., Figma, FigJam, Miro, Notion) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Jira)
• Proven track record of leading design work on complex digital products—ideally in cross-functional, agile environments
• Experience managing and mentoring designers at varying levels of seniority
• Demonstrated ability to guide teams in delivering high-quality, end-to-end product experiences across web and/or mobile
• Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive design best practices
• Strong leadership skills with a people-first mindset: experienced in coaching, feedback, career growth, and team health
• Able to connect user needs, product goals, and business outcomes to prioritize and scope work effectively
• Familiarity with UX research methods, design critique practices, and inclusive design principles
• Skilled in managing team capacity, setting priorities, and navigating ambiguity

• Our design team is embedded within the product organization, laddering directly up to the Chief Product Officer
• We work closely with engineering and product managers to create intuitive, efficient solutions

• As a Product Design Manager, you’ll lead with vision and clarity—guiding a team of talented designers to deliver exceptional work across key product areas
• You'll shape team structure and workflows, define strategic design priorities in collaboration with product and engineering, and ensure high-quality execution at scale
• With a strong foundation in user-centered design and systems thinking, you’ll support your team in navigating ambiguity, refining scopes of work, and aligning output to both user needs and business goals
• Partner closely with product management, engineering, research, and content to shape product strategy and roadmaps
• Influence product vision and strategy through design insights and systems thinking
• Guide the team in delivering high-quality, user-centered design solutions across platforms and surfaces
• Provide clear, actionable feedback that sharpens work and elevates the design bar
• Ensure consistency and excellence in design execution by championing systems thinking and design standards
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders, clearly presenting design rationale and articulating how designs drive measurable business impact
• Help define and scope work to ensure the team is solving the right problems with clear goals and measurable outcomes
• Facilitate alignment and communication across disciplines to ensure smooth collaboration and timely delivery
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of product designers, helping them grow in craft, impact, and career development
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career conversations that empower designers to thrive
• Refine and evolve design workflows, rituals, and tools to support effective planning, reviews, and iteration
• Allocate team resources thoughtfully, balancing individual growth opportunities with organizational needs
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and leveling frameworks to build a strong, scalable design team
• Identify opportunities for innovation and advocate for user experience improvements that unlock long-term value
