Role
Who you are
- Deep expertise in lead generation, with a track record of building ad products that drive revenue at scale
- Strong systems thinking across the ads stack — advertiser-facing surfaces, 3P integrations, and core mechanics including formats, targeting, bidding, and auction
- Proven ability to initiate and drive projects from strategy through execution, delivering against objectives both tactically and strategically
- Analytical fluency in SQL, Looker, Tableau, or Data Studio, including statistical and quantitative analysis, with a bias toward experimentation
- Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator, able to align stakeholders from engineers and data scientists to executive leadership across a matrixed org
- Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
- 6+ years of experience building and shipping products at a technology company; OR a Masters and 4+ years of experience
- Experience working with small medium businesses
- Experience in lead generation
Desirable
- Hands on experience across the entire product lifecycle including: defining product needs, prioritization, pre/post-launch execution
What the job involves
- We're looking for a Product Manager to join our SMC Ads Product team to own Snap's Lead Generation vertical — one of the company's most critical and fast-evolving revenue businesses. You will drive strategy, roadmap, and execution across the full product lifecycle, partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver durable, scalable growth
- Own end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and execution for Lead Gen advertiser-facing products, driving growth across key sub-verticals
- Define and evolve Snap's lead generation product approach, including privacy-resilient solutions and platform/measurement roadmap alignment
- Partner closely with cross-functional leaders across Formats, Ranking, Targeting, and PMM to drive cohesive strategy and execution
- Ensure a high-quality advertiser experience across campaign creation, management, and performance, delivering insights that improve outcomes
- Engage regularly with Sales, advertisers, and Support to surface challenges and identify opportunities
- Drive informed product decisions through A/B testing and experimentation, communicating results clearly across a matrixed org
Our take
Snap Inc. is the social-media company behind Snapchat, a mobile app launched in 2011 that prioritises visual and emotive communication over traditional texting. Born from a desire to share real-time moments with authenticity, the app now boasts a massive global reach with daily active users surpassing 460M and monthly active users well beyond 900M.
After rejecting a billion-dollar acquisition offer from MEta Platforms (then Facebook) in 2023, Snapchat entered into a long-term rivalry with Meta's apps (most notably Instagram). Despite the competition, Snap has carved out a distinct place in the social-media landscape by innovating features such as the "Discover" tab, augmented-reality (AR) lenses, in-app gaming, paid subscriptions via Snapchat+, and robust ad-monetisation options.
Snap has yet to post a full-year profit since going public in 2017, but the company is clearly making progress. In Q1 2025 the net loss was narrowed to roughly $140M, down from $305M the year before, and revenue rose 14% to $1.36B. Advertising revenue remains periodic and macro-factors still pose headwinds, yet Snaps enduring popularity and its expanding product mix suggest that further success appears likely.
