Role
Who you are
- Proven expertise in managing highly complex projects within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for clinical software
- Strong understanding of EDC/CDMS, eConsent and eCOA solutions, services and operational strategies
- Experience with eCOA services scale licensing, translations, device provisioning, Helpdesk and data management
- Strong experience of using project tools such as Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Project (or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and industry trends to guide project strategy
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical study operations, ensuring technical solutions align with site workflows, patient centricity, and study-specific operational requirements
- Direct experience or foundational understanding of Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies, including the unique data capture and longitudinal tracking needs of late-phase research
What the job involves
- As a Principle Project Lead you will lead our most complex, multi-component, multi-country studies, serving as a subject matter expert
- Your value to the business lies in your critical thinking and ability to translate high-level, often vague requirements into robust, technically and operationally sound project architectures
- This is not traditional task-tracking, but high-autonomy and consultative on specialised or new services
- You will navigate the increased variables and technical and operational dependencies that come with complex studies, operating with minimal oversight
- You will act as the pivotal bridge and consultant to the customer, taking ownership of the end-to-end delivery from ensuring internal project cohesion to leveraging your risk expertise to confidently articulate challenges and guide external stakeholders to the best possible solution
- You are energized by first of their kind studies
- You naturally shift from simple process following to active solution leading, applying deep critical thinking to every challenge
- You remain focused and effective when faced with shifting priorities, rapid change, or undefined project parameters
- You act as a high-level consultant to clients, building trust through advocacy and persuasive communication
- You proactively navigate risk, identifying downstream impacts early and architecting solutions that safeguard project integrity
- You are a self-starter who masters the art of remote collaboration. You value deep work and asynchronous communication to drive results

Our take
Castor’s cloud-based clinical data management platform allows clinical trials to be carried out faster and in a more decentralised and patient-focused manner. Some of the biggest roadblocks to successful clinical trials are the length of time they can take, a lack of diversity in participants, and a simple shortage of trial subjects. Castor’s tech allows researchers to overcome these obstacles by more easily capturing and integrating data.
Castor, along with other med tech startups like Thread and Florence garnered praise during 2020 as a lot of medical research transitioned to virtual. In a clinical trials market that’s worth over $40 billion worldwide and still growing, the fact that Castor counts the WHO in its customer base is encouraging.
Backed by Eight Roads Ventures and F-Prime Capital, Castor is aiming to use its funding round to continue product development, data gathering, and increase its manpower, with a view to expanding operations beyond the US and into Asia.
