Role
Who you are
- We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Field Marketing Manager to spearhead Amper’s event and field marketing initiatives
- Experience: Proven track record in field marketing or event management, preferably in B2B SaaS or manufacturing-related industries
- Skills: Outstanding organizational, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and stakeholders simultaneously
- Tech Proficiency: Experience using a platform like HubSpot for managing marketing campaigns, building contact lists, and leveraging automation tools
- Sales Alignment: Strong understanding of the sales process and how field marketing drives lead generation and revenue growth
- Customer Knowledge: Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and its unique challenges
What the job involves
- This role is critical to driving demand generation, fostering customer engagement, and strengthening Amper’s presence in key markets. You will manage trade shows, regional events, and customer engagement programs, ensuring every initiative contributes to pipeline growth and business success
- As Field Marketing Manager, you will work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure every event delivers measurable impact and aligns with strategic goals
- Plan and execute trade show strategies, including logistics, booth setup, team coordination, and on-site programming
- Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to ensure alignment with pipeline and revenue objectives
- Create post-event strategies for lead follow-up and pipeline contribution analysis
- Partner with AEs and BDRs to organize regional events that engage prospects and customers, such as plant tours, networking events, and tailored industry gatherings
- Ensure events are aligned with local market needs and sales objectives
- Manage the planning and execution of customer-centric events, including user group meetings, workshops, and potential conferences
- Ensure these events enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and growth
- Develop and manage budgets for trade shows and field marketing programs
- Optimize event spend to maximize ROI
- Measure and report on the success of field marketing programs, including their impact on demand generation and pipeline
- Prepare and present event analysis and insights to leadership
Our take
Global supply chain constraints have only accentuated the pressure on manufacturing shop floor managers to avoid every possible minute of downtime. That pressure to avoid losing money has driven demand for real-time analytics of manufacturing machinery, which Amper hopes to help with.
Amper’s IoT technology enables a self-installed industrial monitoring solution for manufacturing managers. The company prioritizes ease-of-use for its customers, allowing them to set up their devices in minutes and monitor their machines from an intuitive dashboard. The vision for the startup is to go beyond the monitoring of relatively basic machinery metrics and build out a holistic IoT-based ‘FactoryOS’.
The challenge for the startup will be competing in a crowded IoT market. Having said that, its proven ability to quickly adjust its strategy has helped it gain solid funding. The fact that Amper's technology shifts to fit the real needs of its customers will surely stand it in good stead as it expands its horizons.
