Role
Who you are
- 5+ years direct sales experience in a SaaS environment, preferably selling into marketing clientele, specifically Director and C-Level executives
- Proven track record delivering on or exceeding revenue goals and quota
- Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and carry through complex deals to closure
- Demonstrated ability to qualify opportunities in large volumes and interact with other team members to work toward closing deals
- Ability to assess and uncover prospects' needs and pain points effectively and provide solutions through new products and services
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative is a must
- Excellent communication skills to customize communication to the customer’s needs with confidence; effectively deliver “memorable” presentations leveraging storytelling skills
- Demonstrate excellent networking skills to identify the right stakeholders and build connections quickly to drive consensus for deals; drive communications with internal cross functional teams for deal success
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related field
What the job involves
- Develop and execute a territory plan focused on revenue generation
- Create, implement and own a sales pipeline to manage inbound lead intake, outbound activity, prioritization and metrics for measurement of deal status
- Meet or exceed sales goals each quarter
- Continuously develop an extensive set of relationships at C-level, VP and Director-levels across companies and across industry categories
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around the use of the Brightcove platform
- Leverage a virtual territory team to execute against sales goals
- Prepare deal overviews and contract summaries for key stakeholders
- Close deals!
- This is a quota-carrying role
- This role does involve domestic travel, up to 30%
Our take
Brightcove enables content creators to gain additional revenue from their online video products through new distribution and analytics opportunities. Its services generate a cash flow by allowing advertisers to purchase sponsorship bumpers and watermarks. But that's just the start; the firm is also drawing in customers as a cutting-edge analytics platform.
The company now operates in more than 60 countries and is developing new strategies that enhance current offerings and create opportunities to expand existing businesses. The latter includes the 2023-launched Brightcove Communication Studios, a platform that helps teams better communicate and engage with internal stakeholders as well as an Ad Monetisation service for client companies.
Brightcove now works with customers across a range of sectors and industries, including BBC, Adobe, Ford, Forbes, and Premier League and continues to spoil its customers with new features and incentives.
