Who you are
- 5+ years of experience managing world-class products

What the job involves
- We’re opening up a number of Senior Product Manager roles to help shape the future of our platform
- You'll be working on imagining the future of avatar technology, synthetic media, and programmable video
- Your work would democratise the video creation process and bring the magic of video communication to areas of the enterprise not previously possible
- Think of it as an opportunity to enable a paradigm shift in video creation; today users find complexity and editing challenges, whereas we see a future where anyone can sit in the directors chair and bring a vision to life while removed from the day-to-day complexity of video production.
- You will need to deeply understand the needs of our community, users, and customers and stay on top of the latest developments in the generative video & avatar space to shape your own product area
- AI Assistant: You’ll be at the forefront of shifting users from the role of an editor to the director's seat
- You’ll be focused on shaping a macro UX experience that shifts users away from the micro-level editing that is common in video production today
- Enterprise Readiness: Over 50% of the Fortune100 are customers of ours and we’re seeing significant growth within these accounts
- You’ll ensure our capabilities around the management of content, users & access is seamless and our billing systems will scale as we grow
- Editor: You’ll be owning the core creative experience & responsible for enriching editing capabilities to help unlock higher quality videos and new use cases for our platform
- 0-1 Solutions: You’d be responsible for leading market research, use case prioritisation, strategy, MVP building, GTM and more for our next big bet
- You’ll find high agency, autonomy, and an opportunity for impact regardless of the product area
Our take
Video is an integral part of companies’ marketing strategies, and the adoption of synthetic media has grown in popularity. As organisations are investing in videos, startups are building platforms to support the process. Synthesia is an AI-powered video generation platform that saves enterprises up to 100x the cost and time of producing a video.
The company leverages deep learning to simulate real videos and real actors without the need for costly infrastructure like camera crews, actors, cameras, studios, and a lengthy post-production process. Synthesia’s first product STUDIO launched in public beta in the summer of 2020 and it is now used by 30,000+ companies, including the BBC, Teleperformance, Amazon, and Reuters.
Notably, Prof. Matthias Niessner, one of the co-founders of the company, is behind some of the most well-recognised research projects in the field Deep Video Portraits and Face2Face. The company's intuitive interface has grown to become the #1 rated video creation platform, proving its strong ability to capitalise on the growing AI in media market – which is estimated to be worth $99.48 Billion by 2030.
