Role
Who you are
- 8+ years in software and architecture development of complex and safety-critical projects
- Experience in various software designs, languages and architecture
- Experience and knowledge of cloud computing
- Technologies that you should have experience in, include NodeJS, MongoDB, Kubernetes, GCP, Typescript and other third-party services
- Good understanding of business processes
- Good knowledge of clean coding principles, design patterns for object-orientated programming, scalable distributed systems and security
- Analytical mindset with good negotiation skills
- Defining solutions and problem-solving skills
- Knowledgeable about all phases of the software development life cycle and solution delivery for web, client-server, and cloud-based systems
- You know how to keep the team spirit at a high level and how to encourage people even in stressful times
- A Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
- Proven track record of work experience as an Architect, Principal Engineer or Staff Engineer
- Subject matter expertise in the field of work
- Good knowledge of modern software engineering principles and best practices
- Certificates to demonstrate knowledge and competency
What the job involves
- Drive technical, architectural, and functional discussions, challenging & guiding developers to build elegant solutions
- Be a technical reference point and recommend areas of improvement as we look to scale our organization and product estate
- Conducts a system architecture evaluation and collaborates with Product Management and Engineering teams to improve the architecture
- Contribute to the organization in the design and development of frameworks, tools, and accelerators that enhances the ability of the teams and the organization
- Prototype and implement new technologies together with the Engineering teams
- Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Data, Engineering, and QA to evaluate business requirements

As a result, the market for mid- to long-term lets is growing, with demand anticipated to continue rising over the coming years. Proptech company Wunderflats is taking advantage of this trend.
Wunderflats has a broad scope; covering company travel arrangements, lettings for families & students, and a full furnishing and property management service. With operations beginning in Germany, the company found a lucrative testing ground that enabled it to showcase the popularity of its service, which in turn enabled it to secure growth funding. With this, it has brought its offering to 6 German cities, as well as beginning European expansion with Paris.
Germany has one of the largest rental markets in the EU, in addition to being one of the more popular destinations for digital nomads, which definitely contributed to Wunderflats gaining an edge over other hospitality providers. As the company brings its product to other EU markets, it will be interesting to watch how it effectively handles expansion and adaption to the demands of other countries and their consumers.
