Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience with data structures or algorithms
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, or Go)
- 3 years of experience leading projects and designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems
Desirable
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Experience with designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems
What the job involves
- As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for building and operating declarative, forward compatible infrastructure for a silicon design group using managed Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources
- You will be interested in building infrastructure using cloud services and will have previous GCP, Linux system administration, and some experience with infrastructure flows for silicon/High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments
- Build and maintain infrastructure using managed GCP resources. Monitor and mitigate issues related to infrastructure and services outages
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that they are building durable, scalable, and highly available services
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform
- Administer linux systems such as Slurm, Continuous Integration, and cluster file systems
- Install and administer Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tooling and licensing systems
